I was raised in South Dakota where I attended Northern State and South Dakota State Universities, graduating  with a degree in mathematics. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps and deployed to Vietnam, I returned and served in the Marines until retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. My second career was a magazine publisher. 

I'm now pursuing my passion of telling people’s stories as an author.  Living in La Costa with my wife Sharon, I enjoy writing, traveling, golf and playing handball.
